Neddy & Mike I agree with you completely and I’ve been happy with tickover setting by ear for some time, but the rev counter was a Christmas pressy so I have to use it and worry.
Never buy any add on gauges for oil, battery, marital bliss etc. if you want to sleep peacefully at night.
Frank. It’s a mph speedo bought here about 18 months ago and it had always been about 20 percent fast so it was ok ish until I decided to fix??? it with some ATF 50 squirted up the light hole, that’s when it started to read super fast. I’ve been trying to wash the ATF out with alcohol but I think it’s time for a new one.
I will be going to Stafford so I shall look for one of those 80 mph digy speedos.
