Mark,
I was riding around yesterday during the day and I didn't realise it was on and my mate pulled up and said it looked really cool with a blue headlight

That's worth knowing, I have a blue Interceptor so maybe I'll get one as a fashion statement!!! REgards, Mark

Mark,
Before you jump in remember these LEDs are neg earth, but maybe you could reverse the polarity at the bulb buy using the earth terminal as the positive, not sure, I might give it a try to see if that works

Norm, I can't see this working as LEDs are polarity sensitive. You can get some that aren't but I don't know of any used in automotive replacement applications for bikes. REgards, Mark

I haven't tried it out in the bush at night to see how the beam works but it sure looks trick with a blue headlight

Hi Norm, the LED lamp that you bought will likely use 5000K 'cool white' chips which will provide a colour appearance similar to HID Xenon headlights.
Yes this looks good but there will be no discernable beam performance to speak of.
On my bike I have a Wipac Quadoptic headlight unit with the Philips MotoVision H4 lamp. This combination is first class.
I believe that automotive retrofit LED's from China are pretty poor - only OK just for the parking/position lights and meter/idiot lights...

Stu,
It looks white during the day but at night it goes a nice blue colour, but you are right not much good as a headlight
