Good morning,

My Enfield is going to need a respray and I was looking for the exact color that is used on the Electra Bullet 5s as shown in the picture. By looking at the internet I could find that it is "Riviera Red" but that seems not to be unique enough to get the paint at a paint shop. So I decided to buy the 2 2nd hand 'Toolboxes' of a bullet electra, so that I could have them scanned for the perfect paint match. But now that these arrived, I think they look a bit dark, a bit bordeaux, and that the required color as from the picture looks lighter, oranger.

When I look for other pictures of that bike I find all different kinds of red, I have no idea if that has to do with different paints or different lighting/brightness of the picture. If I check the electra folder, it only comes in 3 color, one of which is Riviera Red.

So I am a bit affraid if I use this sample that I will end up like the Bullets on the right bottom of the pictures.
Does anyone have an idea that the colors in the picture are indeed the same or are they different? Or are there color codes available?

Thanks a lot!

Best Regards,

Joris

Morning JORIS, ---------- have you tried an Enfield Dealer/ Agent or contacted the importers ie Watsonians or, indeed for that matter ----- our hosts ?? Must be some records somewhere, I would have thought ?? PS---- how did you achieve those impressive picture effects ???

Joris, no photograph or other printed illustration is true to colour...you have a couple of tool boxes that are in the colour you desire, use the inside of the box to colour match....why is that you may ask? Because the inside has not been exposed to th weather and is th true original colour and may well be lighter than the outside
