I would say snake oil. If it splits the spark into 5 don't you end up with 5 weak sparks?

I've seen these at motorcycle shows. If you have trouble starting, this might help, maybe. If you don't, then I doubt if this makes any difference. If it fires, it fires. One spark does the job.
If it was that good, manufacturers would fit them. On balance, yes, decidedly serpentine and oleaginous.

This type of thing has been around for many decades and are nothing more than a spark gap (two screws set in plastic with a 20-30thou gap between the heads), snake oil certainly, the seller who says he is the maker can't even spell fouling correctly (perhaps he is going out to shoot Chickens?), definite waste of time and money. ---------- Now someone will come along and say how wonderful they think they are, you can fool some of the people ETC ETC.

Hi guys--------have a look (and read) of this }------ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Qgo-PhNu3E --------------- and also this( Bit long winded and military vehicle orientaited but look for the X-ray phots ! }----http://www.hmvf.co.uk/pdf/IGNITIONMATTERS.pdf ------------ Basically it's the old idea of creating an "artificial" boost to the HT current by placing a gap in the HT lead.... If needed you could make one yourself for less than the asking price....Snake Oil with added "Hiss"---- 'cos that's what they're taking... PS, This is of particular interest to me as I was employed on some of these engines during my 15 years at MoD, Donnington........... NSN = Nato Stock Nomber ( the 99 segment = uk made).

You will find the guy at every stafford, Kempton & a few others selling his snake oil as described by Dennis.....back "in the day" we made a similar device with the cut HT lead wrapped through opposite holes of a shirt button & wrapped with old inner tube taped together
