I use Penrite NLGI 00 semi fluid grease thined down a bit with engine oil as that's the only way to get it in as the grease is rather thick , no leaks , very smooth gear changes . It's perfect for Australian temps .Dont forget to totaly grease the gear selecter system with normal bearing grease , apply very liberal amounts on every moving part to get that slick gear change feel .

Brian, one last thing, although you won't be using it it is simply not true that modern oils attack phosphor bronze bushes, this old wives tale was put to bed by the late Jack Gray who went directly to Castrol for the answer. Shame it keeps popping up!

Hi Mark, thanks for that info. Was beginning to have doubts as have been running my rebuilt box on EP80 well overfilled...... No leaks from the sealed bearings and seems quite smooth for an albion 4 speed...... Thought i may have dropped a clanger.... cheers gwilly
