Hi Paul, head nuts to 33nm and 200 mil in the forks not sure what this is in cc. Also just reading the book and under performance it says crusing speed 70-80 kph and a top speed of 126 kph. Somebody should have told the bloke on his Electra on the weekend who passed me going up a long hill on my Inter

Tappets are set up to 0 clearance when cold. When the valves are fully closed, and the pushrod is at it's lowest level, you should be able to turn the pushrod under light thumb pressure but there should be no up and down movement.Don't assume just by turning the engine until you feel compression that the valves are fully closed. You need to turn the engine over slowly until you see the pushrod has relaxed and fallen to it's lowest level before checking/ adjusting. A fiddly process.

Paul,
Be gentle with the tappets the tappet shaft inside the guides is only 6mm in diameter where the Bullet was 9mm. I have heard of a few breaking the exhause tappet because of the valve lifter deal in there.

I was wondering who would spot my deliberate mistake ;-) Of course that should be, 1ml = 1cc
