Mark, I'd love to see some pictures of your bike. How can one axle stand hold your bike upright and steady? I don't get it.... hmmm. I understand one under each foot rest but just one? Alan. I'll let the board know my feedback on the tyres. I've never done much "off road'ing" before though (other than in India with stock tyres) so I don't have much to compare against to be honest. They do hum quiet loudly on tarmac over about 40mph but I've not felt unstable yet. I've solved the front shocks issue whatever it was. I just took them apart and then put them back together again and now they're great (for an Enfield.) I just took her for a dark night time run 5mins ago having rebuilt the shocks (like a kid in a sweet shop I couldn't wait until morning!) She went great but I did hear a quick sharp rubbing noise when I hit a few potholes (hard) on the green lane behind my house. It happend twice but it's dark and I couldn't work out exactly what was going on, I'll have to keep my eye (ear) on that. I can't see it being the front because I have the 21inch guard and stays on an 19inch wheel. Also the stays are fixed to the wheel and hub side of the forks, they are strong well made stays so the guard should move up and down with the wheel. It must have been the back... Hmmmm.

hi matt, allan ,the ensign trials tyres work very well ,i,ve been running them on both my bullets for the last twelve months, over 5000 miles covered on each bike the only twitchyness is over block paved surfaces & really prominent white lines apart from that they are great, unfortunately i didn,t buy them from our host as he was too expensive at the time ,although he had my shecles for the ally mudguards & stays ,anyone fancying this set up ,buy the 21 inch stays for the 19 inch tyre size or be prepared to make adjustments to the stay (middle 1)as for the drab olive ,i did that last year very practicle if daubed on with a brush,i did my 350 from head to toe!!!i fell out with drab olive while blacking the exhaust and now the bike is matt black brushed ofcourse!!atb paul.

Hello again, MATT----- Re} Paint job ?? I tend to agree with "Stringer----" ie Leave it just as it is..... A good old, honest MUD PLUGGER !!! though you might want to fit a sump guard ??

Hi Alan. I don't think I really need a sump guard. I'm not really doing any trials ridding, Just gently cruising green lanes. I don't live in a rocky environment either. Mostly glorious mud! So much fun. I've really learned that second gear is the best in thick mud, keep it straight and keep the power constant and she ploughs through! Slower and first gear and the back end goes everywhere... Too much power etc. Lots of fun. I've thrown a couple of pictures in here to show why I want to tart the tank up... It's awful. Also my 500 Classic is black and gold so it's nice to have something different. Image Image
