Hi all

While I've got the head off my Bullet 350, I thought I'd separate the halves of the rocker blocks and make sure everything is nice and clean inside, but I can't seem to get them apart. Any tips?

Thanks

Ed

Hi ED LAZDA ------------ I'm assuming you've removed them from the head as an assembly ?? ---and that the rocker arm still revolves ??---- then it's probably just "oil sticktion" holding them together....Give them a good wash/soak in parafin or a wd40-style oil to help dilute this. Both the original and Samrat types make use of small dowel pins for alignment....On the original type the holes for the dowels go straight through to the outside ( you can see them viewed from the top.)...and the use of a thin drift down these should see the job done. Alas, with the Samrats it will have to be a very thin wedge eg a jewelers screw-driver etc applied at the joint alternately to one side then the other, to start the ball rolling.

Thanks Alan. It's the standard rocker block, the arm revolves, and it does have the two small holes at the top. Now that I know what I have to do -- where did I put that hammer? BW, Ed

Hi Ed, I find a light tap with a small hammer on the side of the block will start to part them, then just pull them apart with your fingers.
