Thanks again all. I must say I do prefer my headlight a little bit on the high side, and I don't seem to cause offence to other drivers.
I must make it clear that I really never had any intention of messing about with tyre pressures - just my little joke!(although it did cross my mind that the new rear tyre might make a difference, and thanks to Phil666 I now know how to check).

Hi guys---------- I think a simple "Rule of thumb" to ensure those lights are "correct" on a day-to-day riding basis, is to see that the main beam is below the horizontal, ie so as not to dazzle oncoming traffic and points directly ahead---NOT to the off-side.... and the dip-beam is down and to the nearside. Remember to have the bike on it's wheels AND a person sitting on it ( Because that's how the tester will do it.). Naturally---as caring owner/riders, your tyre types and pressures will be correct at any given time, won't they ??............As I say, just for everyday running.
