Hello A.L.EDDIE ------ sorry, that didn't come out quite right..... Replace "------ can YOU name his----" with "----can ANYONE name his-----"....... It wasn't meant to be a dig at you old mate !! You are probably right about the mouse not looking before crossing-----thanks for the info. on Walter Sickert....... Never heard of him before so started off with a quick "Google" to get the idea and I'm most impressed (?) And you said,--"I never had us old fashioned, stick-in-the-mud RE riders marked down as particularly artistic!" -- as well !!.....Good stuff, eh ??

This thread has reminded me of how I used to look forward each year to the new Triang-Hornby model railway catalogue, which always used to feature a Cuneo painting om the cover.

There are no mice, they have a lot of surplus stock and he wants us to thumb through the catalogue page by page to get us to order something!

when i think of all the hours i spend thumbing through that catalogue i find it hard to believe i have missed the hidden mouse (mice). I will indeed have another look through the catalogue but as always i will end up thinking i need things i didn't know i needed if you see what i mean...

Hi Rustygman, this is quite a good system for me as I spend too much time already, looking for parts I didn't know I needed, like you. HOWEVER when my daughter asks why I'm looking AGAIN I can now honestly say I need to find the mouse to get a free T shirt and that makes more sense to her and she stops asking. So we're all happy. PS is it a proper mouse or a computer mouse or both that I'm looking for?

HOWARD 612----------- AH!! Happy memories indeed. I just "Happened" to find myself in a Model Shop the other day and was looking at a new Hornby Black 5 at some £100-odd. Ye-gods !!.... At aged 8 or so my pride and joy was the tinplate 0-4-0 clockwork tank engine with the two control rods out the back-- a few motley freight trucks and a circle of pressed steel two-rail track...Many a journey done with those... Then Dad bought me a MAMOD SE1 stationary engine and a No3 Meccano set----------and my career in mechanical engineering was assured !! BUT---back to the thread heading......I've let my "In-house" mouse expert (Mrs.Puss-Puss,) have a look at the CATalogue but to no avail. However Hitchcocks now do a range of fur-balls, apparently !!..Hmmm

-----I must be getting senile !!.... I thought I'd try the "Star-trek" approach to this competition so have just said}----"Computer, search for mouse in all quadrants of catalogue"------------------------ did it work ?? Well, what do YOU think ??????----Oh dear me.
