To everybody who managed to make it to Madmikes Gathering today I offer a great big THANK YOU. I saw many new faces as well as some old, ones and your presence and your bikes made today into a great day. I saw many smiling faces and that alone made the day worth organising. I told you that good weather had been organised as usual. Thank you for all enjoying today. Next one will be in April or May. Same venue. I shall repeatedly post details nearer the time. I shall be at Stafford in October, and will be in the upstairs bar at 1 o'clock. I hope to see you there. thank you again for joining us at MadMikes Gathering.

Yes, great to meet everybody and spend some quality time with all types of Enfields (plus some other superb classics).
I just about made it back OK and took a 12 mile detour to my mates house. Him of the Honda Bros 400 who was very sorry that he couldn't make it but it was unavoidable.
Anyway, a superb day, thanks to Mike. Can't wait to do it again next year.!

Hi guys---------and a special big-time HELLO to you HEROES from up 't North. Really glad to meet you all---it's a pity that Decca & I couldn't have stayed much longer but we were on a multi-stop ride (including an unscheduled one about half an hour before arriving, when a certain person --- he of the orange safety jacket---RAN OUT OF PETROL !!... and the reserve tap appeared U/S. ..... Fortunately we had just PASSED a garage about 10 mins. back AND the reserve tap was persuaded to work a little, so a quick "ABOUT TURN" saw ALAN R with a face as red as his jacket as he filled his boots---er, tank----to the max!!!.....MAD MIKE,--- Thanks once again for a lovely afternoon's event. I was particularly impressed by your influence with the local "Constabulary" who set up shop just a mile or two "down wind" of the pub to make sure we didn't overshoot the location by use of excessive speed... How thoughtful.... Now then GRUNDA----give me a date and/or location that I can ride my No1 Bullet to in your neck of the woods.

Well my friends we did make 3 pages of messages on this topic so I guess that we will now see MadMikes Gathering slide gently off of the top of the pile and somewhat ignominiously into the ether. It is, after all, only words in cyber space. Thanks for putting up with my attempts at keeping this on the top of the messages, thanks for reading the messages, thanks to those who came to MadMikes Gathering and a special thanks to our kind hosts for allowing a non-Enfield owner to plague their site with this particular thread. I will let you all know, in plenty of time, when the next Gathering is, and remember you are all invited to attend, and I hope to see many of you there. Thank you everybody.
