Does anyone have a Yenkay made speedo fitted on their Bullet?
I bought one from here in 2005 and it failed after less than 200Kms. I was sent a replacement but never fitted it. I sold the bike a few years later but now bought it back. I still have the Yenkay speedo so I was thinking of fitting it but I don't want to ride it to Switzerland next month and have the thing break again. My one has a back face, reads in KMs only and stops at 160KM.
Has your one been reliable?
regards,
Alan

Your speedo Must read in MPH for the MOT if your in the UK and not have a sticker stuck on glass its not exceptable it can have both MPH & KPH but not just KPH now as far as I know. new ones are only about £35 quid on here.

Hi guys-------------trying not to go "off-piste" here but I have just bought an ex-Canadian bike (been in this country since 2002 ) which has a speedo in KMs only and has passed MoT's right up to last year---ie the current certificate. Do I now have to get this altered then ??

Hi Paul,
I think that is correct but my MOT guy never will never bother with such details!
Chances of a copper stopping me here in is almost zero as they all have the number plate reading gizmo and if it bounces back with tax, insurance & MOT they leave you alone. That's in London at any rate.

Alan

Rado - I don't know what the yenkay speedo looks like but you're more than welcome to the speedo that came with my 1999 Bullet 500... it says 16km on the clock as I remember. Send me your details to [email protected] and I'll post it.
