Hello Omit ---going back to your original posting }----- don't fear the worst at all !! You've got a nice set-up there ie factory-fitted , Electronic Ignition, a CV-type carb (there are some mods that can improve acceleration etc) and a 350 engine (cheaper road tax than its' 500 brother.). Oh yes, for your son the Thunderbird model has some "Street-Cred" as well--(whatever that may be !!). That extract from a manual has used an early model bike rather than up-date the image. Cheapskates !!! As an import from India I take it there's no warranty supplied by anyone ?? Never mind---any probs, get back on here. But in the meantime}---- Get it REGISTERED----get it RIDDEN !!

----------ah! just missed that last one of yours. Can you supply some photos of the whole bike so we can see the whole picture, as it were ?? If ignition is on----the bike in neutral gear----the prop stand in "park" position---the kill-switch (if fitted) in "run"---the clutch switch is ok--- and most importantly, the spark plug is earthed onto the cyl. block/head----you should get a spark.

As Alan says kill switch first thing to check. If still no spark, pull the tank off and check that there is power to the coil with the ignition on. Then report back with what you find

Yup, that's the AVL engine with electronic ignition. There's no electric starter, so I expect that there's no clutch switch to worry about. There's a kill switch on the right hand handlebar cluster, but I can't find a sidestand cut out switch on the Thunderbird parts list.
