Apologies if I'm retreading old gound. My 2007 350 Bullet jumps out of second gear intermittently on up-changes. Work-around so far has been light downward pressure on the gearchange pedal while accelerating through second, which is effective. Any ideas re cause/cure?

Hi IAN ------- in the top, R/H corner of this page you will see a white, oblong box with the word "search" at the end of it. Type into it --- "jumps out of gear" ------ and press the SEARCH button.

Ian, are you sure you're moving the shift lever all the way? If you don't use all the movement it can jump out. After that, check the detent (the thing that stops the selector plate moving) it's under the outer cover. You can find a diagram in the parts book - try giving that a couple of turns. If this doesn't cure it there will probably be something wrong/worn in the selector mechanism.
