I think I did something wrong which reduced some back pressure but it kind of made sense.. Because after doing that my bike was roaring at higher RPMs. I think it reduces lil bit of restriction. I did get rid of PAV and Cat-Con tho.

I put a free flow system (inc. filter) on my 350 and opened the inlet port a bit. The cruising speed has gone up maybe 10mph and it's using LESS fuel - even with a bigger jet. I expected the first but not the second. This confirmed to me that the original set up was stifling the engine. I suspect it has more torque as well, so much so that I'm considering a bigger sprocket.

Pete.. I recently got a VM34 carby and got everything right except the Pilot Jet and manifold.

By mistake I bought VM28/486 27.5 pilot which doesn't fit this VM34. So I had to ditch that. Gifted it to a pal who has VM28. So I am with the stock 35 pilot.. which is riching the hell out of me. The one needed for VM34 is VM22/210 27.5, I will have to get that but looking at the pilot jet number I feel it's the pilot for VM22 is that right? I am not so sure because I am still a newbie (lol).......
About the Inlet port... I have a 34mm carb and many say that since the AVL 500's inlet is a bit ovalish.. so it doesn't matter much because it somehow doesn't restrict much or do you think I should get it ported to match 34mm carb. Oh and forgot to mention about the manifold. I still have the 29mm's manifold punched to the VM34.. which is not at all good I think.. getting a Manifold made out of aluminium. You think it's good? :D
