I ride my bike at least twice a week during the winter, mainly in dry weather. I keep it in a garage. Is there any point in keeping it covered, and if so, with what?

If the garage is clean and not very dusty etc., there is no need for covering the bike if you use it twice a week. .-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-

I normally cover my bikes with old cotton bed sheets during winter storage, just to keep dust away from them. Winter storage normally means late October to April here, and I don't start them during this period. .-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-

Whatever you do, don't cover it with anything waterproof. That will just keep the moisture inside and prevent it from drying. .-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-

----------covering it whilst in the garage will also protect the paintwork from the odd "ding" or two that can happen from time to time.
