I couldn't find the first thread I started on this. I'd just like to thank the person who suggested a Moto Guzzi.

I'm getting a new V7 Stone. I'm keeping my Classic EFI which I've repositioned in the garage to make room for the new partner. The V7 is a delight to ride and look at and the 750cc engine will be more than enough for me. The similar weight to the Royal Enfield was also an attraction for an old dodderer shifting his bikes around in tight spaces.

Hi Guys --------- ALEX, I'm with you all the way on this one !! I miss my old California 1100i but age, costs, "'er indoors" all conspire etc, etc. Then I saw a modern V750 out on the road awhile ago and that ticked ALL the boxes. Classic styling.....torquey V-twin motor as only Guzzi( Aprillia? Fiat? General Motors?? NASA ??----who actually OWNS them now??--)....lightweight.....sporty tourer...... GORGEOUS !!!! AND----visually would sit comfortably alongside the existing EFI.

Was it really that long ago? Seems like yesterday. The V7 Stone arrives on Monday. I went for the all black model. Supplied by Corsa Italiana in Hersham who are bringing it down to the New Forest. Nearest people to have a demo bike and a pleasure to deal with. Thanks again for the advice my friends!

Must say I've coveted a Guzzi as a stable mate for Enfield, probably mentioned it in one of those posts! Haywards in Cambridge are agents for both, so worth a visit by anyone in the area.
Anyway, wish you all best luck with it - and do let us know how you get on....

Fido, I'm jealous as hell!! The black stone V7 is top of my wish list for a second bike to add to my 350 Bullet.
I've also looked on the Corsa Italiana web site a few times and love the special models they produce. Enjoy, and I'll keep dreaming!!

hi fido,i sat on a guzzi the other week at j&s in doncaster i also like the weight just nice for a man of my tired legs calibre!!! but then i tried the w800 kwak and then i read the post about the guy missing his woodsman efi when he bought a kwak ,then i thought fuel economy ,150 mpg on my diesel bullet ,62.5 mpg on the 350 petrol both ridden flat out ,so if i got either of these i would need longer arms and shallower pockets ,at the moment i,m reluctanly hanging back on the bike purchase front.

Hi Fido - I've got a Moto Guzzi Breva 750 Touring as a stablemate for my Bullet 350 Classic. I've had it 3 years now and I still love it. Often ride it 200+ miles and never have any aches or pains. It's pretty easy on petrol as well and capable of cruising at 85mph all day. I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine!
Cheers,
Geoffers.

The V7 duly arrived. Not the best time of year for a new bike. At my age I don't wait for the spring. Turned out to be a nice day in the New Forest. Two spells out and I felt like an old hand. I'm looking forward to this winter.

that is a VERY nice bike.

can you get a large screen for it to make it more of a practical commuter?
