after rebuilding 250 crusader bike started first time but now clutch seems to slip now impossible to start all clutch parts were brand new could it be the oil type i used

H'i crusaderman, you do'nt say witch oil you have used but it should be engine oil.have you got the three spring or our hosts six spring setup.I had the same problem but after fitting the six spring it was ok.

hi steve hunt its three plate clutch but only 3 springs did not know you could get six spring conversion

Hi guys ---- I'm not familiar with the 250 Crusader set-up but with our Classic 500 Bullets we get very good results using Automatic Transmission Fluid (ATF) in our primary drive/clutch.(I run 2 bikes)----- this originally was specified as 20/40 by RE. Might be worth a try ??

thanks alan r crusader is unit construction so gearbox oil is seperate oil

Hi crusaderman and alan r the oil in the crusader recirculates back in to the engine so it has to be engine oil. hi chris I think it was a stuck exaust valve, all back together now and seems to be running fine.
