Richard, good luck with the rebuild! I strongly suggest that if you haven't got one get a Workshop Manual. These engines aren't difficult to work on but there are a few pitfalls which must be avoided if serious damage is not to ensue! There are also a few tools that may be required, I have these so if you get into trouble, just ask!
