Have just bought 2009 Electra EFi,looking at doing a little light custom work on it,what i would like to do is base it on the Woodsman / Trials style. Woodsman seat and handle bars, biggest problem i seem to have is the exhaust,i want it same style as the Trials bike, not the Woodsman. Can't find anything on the Hitchcocks site at all,my local bike shop advises against swapping the exhaust? I would not object to a complete original Enfield EFi trials system,no doubt it would be expensive, and not easy to obtain, have asked a few dealers with no reply at all. Anyone know of a system like this which would fit the bike, without going to the expense of a power commander,or am i better staying away from after market exhausts as my local bike shop says.

Have you tried Watsonian Squire? They ought to be able to help - they import the bikes and as far as I know they do the Woodsman/Trials mods.
I can confirm the EFI bike runs a lot better without the stock half ton torpedo tube holding it back. I have the Watsonian Goldie on mine and it's noticeably perkier, if a little anti-social with the throttle open.... Don't fit a silencer meant for a pre EFI Bullet - it'll backfire. A lot!

I did email them but have had no response, i shall try again though. Did you fit the Power Commander with your exhaust?. I really don't want to fork out £285 just for this, all i really want is to improve the looks of the bike and get a bit more of a throaty sound out of it, not interested in doing any tuning mods at all.

Watsonian are notorious for not responding to emails. They told me a lot of incoming mails are caught by their spam filter! Try phoning them.
No need for the power commander, the aftermarket EFI exhausts bolt straight on. That's why I said don't mess with non efi-specific pipes.
The Goldstar is a bit more blatty than I wanted - I was hoping for more more bass thump. But the performance boost is impressive.I'm told Hitchcock's Classic efi silencer has a good thump to it.
I should take the recommendations to fit the power commander with a pinch of salt.....
Someone on the CMW forum fitted a Harley reverse cone silencer to his efi Enfield. It has a catalytic converter in and apparently works a treat. Looks good too.
Masses of info regarding these bikes over there. Probably the most civilised forum on the net too.
