Hi there "P" ------ It works for me---just relating my own experiences, make of it what you will. Each to their own I suppose. Of course not all have the cooling ring fitted so they might have a different approach. The point for ED LAZDA is that YES !! it does work and very well at that. Silicone is used in many hot and confined spaces to enhance performance.(eh?) eg piston rings in model railway locomotives with superheated steam. I'm still chuckling at the "Bathroom Cupboard Conundrum" vision that you gave us. Would make for an interesting evening---cheers m'dears.

I was very surprised that sealant does the job but it does, and lasts too.

Heaps better than "proper" exhaust paste that takes ages to go off, crumbles away quickly and then is difficult to clean off when you do need it off.
