There now, the RN's genteel way of inviting members of the crew to "please come and help run the ship.Thank you so much" Back to Enfields shall we ?? If you are using one of Mr H's composite head gaskets then you won't need to use gasket sealant as well. I've just done my 500 this winter and all is well. Head re-build is fairly much a reversal of the strip. Make sure the valves are nicely ground-in and washed free of any grinding paste. TIP }---When replacing those little devils the spring collets, a smudge of grease on each will help stop them escaping as you slowly release the spring compressor. Then, with a heavy copper hammer, give the valve stem a few sharp hits to "bounce" the valve. This helps the assembly to settle-in. Don't forget the de-compressor would benefit from a little TLC as well. Crack-on, Mcduff !! PS }---- Fleet Air Arm, the Navy's way of showing the Brylcreem-Boys how it should be done !( Cheeky !)
