Don't feel down about it Wolf - we all have to learn - and an Enfield is a great bike to learn on!
Trouble with a misfire is it could be just about anything. Could be the spark plug, points (if you've got some), ignition coil, HT lead, battery connections, earth connection, etc etc. Then again it could be the carb, too weak, too rich, mucky petrol, blockage, etc etc.
The dealer won't be clever when he sorts your bike - with shelves full of spares he's just got one hell of a head start!
