SPELLBOUND!
Last night was spent dreaming about my perfect RE. I wanted a parallel twin, pre 1960, with clean and gorgeous looks. For once, I didn't limit it to army looking bikes!
I got up this morning, whilst desperately holding onto the image in my waking mind as I forced google images to display hundreds of images of RE's.
I found it! The very bike from my dream. Questions are:-
reliability - (Yes I will do maintenance and adjustments on it)
rideability - including things like advance /retard levers? do I have to keep moving it as I go along, or is it just for starting?
parts - are there any parts that are difficult to source?
What should I look out for if I go to buy one?
How much should I expect to part with for a very nice one? (don't want 5 boxes of bits again, did that once before, Honda 500 four!)
The following pics are all the same model aren't they?

[center]Beautiful, beautiful, majestic motorcycle
[center]stunning in brown

[center]It's a 'big bullet', and has the family traits.
[center]That wide "Enfield" smile. A lucky, lucky guy!

[center]Oh, look ! Who's this in green then?
[center]What a stunner, was green a factory colour?

[center]A deep red/maroon shade, almost brings a tear.
[center]My new love affair is waiting to start.

[center]Beyond words blue! Suits it well.

(Here Thack, can you do that on your bulletin board! LOL! No just kidding, this does need an edit and delete facility plus an editor to select pics and features easily.)
Oh heck, it hurts so bad, I'm sure I was born to have one.
P.S. Anybody happen to have a spare one in the shed? I would give it a very loving home.
