thanks for getting back to us. The other (post '56) Redditch frame bikes I have ridden do feel a bit taller than my Indian Electra-X, I think the rider's half of the Indian dual seat sits lower. On my AVL/Connie hybrid and now on this one our hosts' front brackets for the seat were too short, but by using the 7/8" alloy plugs supplied with the top yoke kit as spacers (bored out for the 5/16" set screws that fasten the brackets to the seat), I have it finally looking "right", compared to how it looks in the photo. This of course does raise the front of the seat, though not quite as high as yours.
I prefer the ride of the Redditch chassis, both on the hybrid and on a '57 Bullet I used to own, it somehow feels more stable than my Electra-X.
