Presto, if they want to sell this kit they have to show customers how well or not well it works & the only real way to do that is to offer test rides on one of their bikes .
For those who are old enough to remember Andy Rouse who raced the 500 Sierra Cosworth in the 80 & early 90's & was the British touring car champion >> He designed a road race conversion for the 3 door & 4 door Cosworth called the Rouse Sport 302R, & the 304R for the sapphire 4x4.
A friend of mine had the 3 door & he wanted to improve the performance & to try & get rid of the turbo lag the Cossy suffered from. After ringing several tuning companies he eventually found out about the Rouse conversion from the RAC so he rang the company in Coventry & Andy Rouse was the one who answered the phone,to cut a long story a bit shorter Andy invited my mate to go down to his work shop & test drive his own personal road going Cosworth with the conversion fitted, so he went along & I drove him down there ,we went for a spin in Andy Rouse's Cossy & OMG what a difference, fitted with a different turbo & new chipped ECU [cost fully fitted £1100.00 by Andy's machanics]. Performance up from 204bhp @ 6000rpm stock to 260bhp @ 5000rpm & a massive 310ft/pnd of torque @ 4000rpm & No Turbo Lag!>> it was a proper race saloon car for the road a Porche & farrari beater at that time, one of the best sports cars I have ever driven my mate was over the moon to say the least. He now wishes he still had kept the car, they are going for a small fortune that's if you can find one.Andy Rouse went on to Convert around 100 New special addition Cosworths for Ford.

Hi Guys, - Just for the record - we have one GT here - which is our development bike - the other is my own personal bike which I am sure none of you would expect to ride - and anyway - its standard apart from a silencer and is still running in as I am a staunch fair weather rider!

I'd still be interested to hear of a motorcycle agent who offers test rides for replacement performance parts. A 1980's car test ride isn't the same thing.

To be fair to our hosts... they do *show* us how the performance parts work. Figures, data or videos are all available on many of the significant enhancements. I wouldn't expect a test ride available for a performance enhancement... I would for a stock purchase though, which is why bike dealers have demo bikes and car dealers offer test drives.

If I wanted to rip out half a motor and replace it with performance upgrades, which often invalidates warranties anyway, that's my choice. And the choice of which one to buy comes from reputation... not a test run, surely?

Ok OK but if they did offer the test ride on a modified bike, lets say just a couple of guys had the rides & were very impressed, then bought the kit & were over the moon with it, putting their thoughts & experience on here,I am sure Hitchcock's would sell many more performance kits, thats of course when they are available*****

over & out
