Interesting, I know the Chinese factories can and do make fakes of anything and everything, watched a very interesting documentary on the fakes industry.
Just checked the plug I got from our hosts and it fits the criteria in the linked article, (I've always gotten plugs from either halfords or a parts specialist when ordering service spares, strangely I wouldn't consider getting something like this at an autojumble), that said, I know fakes of things can make their way into mainstream shops too, (fake vodka etc around xmas time, been on the news past 2 years).
Anyhow, just checked the BR7HS I removed from the bike, was ok when bought then lost spark, suspected coil, swapped plug, got spark.
It looks well made and legitimate but had no number on the hex and is stamped, made in France! Do ngk have a French manufacturing plant?
