So, back to Enfields with a Lightning 535. As it has obviously been standing for a while, there are many jobs to do. I'm sure it still has the original Indian tyres. On the plus side it has Boyer ignition, a disc front brake (probably with original fluid), a long MOT, and less than 10,000 km.
One of the jobs will be to find out why the high beam warning light doesn't work. Can anyone tell me the easiest way to gain access? It's not immediately obvious (to me, anyway). Not a huge problem but I might want to get in there to replace other bulbs some day.
I can see why the neutral light doesn't work. Presumably that big bolt sticking out of the back of the gearbox, surrounded by JB Weld is where the neutral light switch used to sit. That's one for the future, but I would be interested to know whether 170180 is the right part number.
Thanks in advance, Howard.
