I have just fitted the rubber encased rear light suggested for use on 'trials' bikes. It bolts through the rear mudguard obviously - but - what is the large rubber loop for?

Hi, when I fitted this type of light back in the 80s there was one bolt fixing and you put the second bolt through the loop. However as this comes with two bolts already??? Perhaps it just the same rubber casting and now redundant. Vince

Thank Vince. I couldn't see another use for it but you know how great this forum is someone may have their own slant on it!
