Hi all
The petrol tap on my 2006 Classic has started a slow leak from the bowl when it is turned on. I think it's the Karcoma type, with the side exit and the transparent plastic bowl with a combined hex and screwdriver slot. I can't tell from our host's parts diagram whether the fibre washer fits where the bowl is threaded into the tap body, or whether it's for something else. Do I need a new tap or just a new washer? Tightening the bowl makes no difference, so it's not that. The tap stays dry when switched off.

Cheers

Hi Tim. There are going to be 3 places where petrol can leak from. 1)The tank to threaded tap stem....2) the rotating petrol tap flange valve.....3) the O ring in the plastic site glass.....Here is a link to a kit for all 3 seals....it will show you what is required and give you an idea of what might need replacing......There might be other suppliers of these parts...maybe Mr H might have all of them::.............. http://www.motorworks.co.uk/vlive/Shop/ ... 5_20_GA_50
