With an icy wind blowing, snow falling and salt all over the road -- here's a chance to dream! How about entering the 2018 Beamish Safety and Reliability Run. Taking place on 17th June this year (when hopefully the snow will have finally disappeared!) it encompasses a lovely ride through the Northern Dales from Beamish Museum to Bainbridge in Wensleydale and back. 155 miles of exhilarating moorland, rolling hills and welcoming villages to be enjoyed by pre 1956 vehicles. Motorbikes particularly welcome! I'm abandoning my usual marshalling role to enter my 1953, 197cc Dot for the first time in 12 years. Like many of you, I guess, I suddenly realising that I'm fast approaching 70, and I need to get on and do things. So, it's a challenge, if only a minor one; why not have a go?
