Following on from Johnny's design for his oil circulation sight glass. I've done the same on my 350. Hi Pete...nice article and well up to your usual standards with good photos. Couple of questions though. When you soldered up the pipe ends, was the filter undone with the rubber seals removed in case these were burned? And if so how do you end up with the pipes facing the right way when you screw it all back together?...Might be worth an extra note on the write up.

Well done Pete. I'm trying to work out the best way of fitting a sight glass on my 625 with our hosts' oil pressure relief/diverter fitted. You have provided some inspiration!

I soldered the pipe to the brass adaptors while totally disconnected from the filter. I did a "dry" assembly, made scratch marks to line everything up and then dismantled it all to do the soldering. Perhaps it not obvious but the homemade brass adaptors are threaded and screw into the filter end pieces.
