Hi folks just bought my self a 2007 535 electra which i haven`t ridden yet as i have the engine out.
The bike is fitted with a 19 tooth front and 38 tooth rear sprockets.
The question is i would like to do steady green laning on mine so it would benefit being low geared any ideas from you guys would be very helpful thanks.

Hitchcocks have available gear box sprockets, ranging from 13 to 22 teeth. 18 being standard for road..

Know they do close ratio and trials ratio internals for the 4 speed box but not sure about the 5 speed, you may have to ring and ask..

Imo the stock cogs are already rather under-geared. Even if green laning you'll need a road gear too. On my C5 1st is too low, 2nd is like an extra 1st gear then there's a big jump to 3rd wich is interchangeable with 4th and then 5th is too short. Changing down it tends to go 5th 4th, 3rd, neutral, 1st.

The stock cogs depends on model, and somewhat dictated by wheel sizes (do you have trials wheels). Depending on model the rear cog can also be changed, some are part of the brake drum, there are replacement drum/sprockets and drums with bolt-on sprockets.

Some of my tarmac lanes don't have tarmac. They have at last just repaired one that is mostly stream bed and the new stuff is already washing out; the sack of hammers repaired the road without fixing the culvert.
