Now, now, no Benny Hill jokes! Finally got the heads off the Constellation project ready for the big engine strip. Bought this bike as a non runner (replaced the duff magneto, replaced the wiring, carb and loads of odds and ends,) and it turned out really nice. Did about 50 miles after re-registering it and then a nasty knock from the drive side main bearing (you can actually lift the crank up and down,) took it off the road at the Home Counties Rally 3 years ago. A full Interceptor rebuild held me up for a bit but I've finally got fed up with moving the Con every time I want to get a bike out and so I thought I'd fix it. I have a rebuilt spare engine, but not by me, so I may have to look at that too. Looks like rain for the next few days so I'll keep you updated if you're interested?

Always interested Mark, and I too get sick of moving bikes so I can work on the one at the back of the shed. BTW I'm making a new inner primary for the Meteor so I can fit an alternator to it. I got sick of waiting for a reply from Ironhorse, total waste of time. When I get it finished I'll let you know if you are interested lol

Certainly am Norm, I think my Meteor will always be with me and any upgrades welcome!

I'm not sure what interest there is in the Meteor conversion, no idea how many Meteors are still around, but I wonder if it is worth the effort after I have this inner primary complete, should I take a mould off it so if somebody wants them made it will be pretty straight forward. What the kit involves is the new inner primary, using the standard Bullet outer primary, stator adaptor ring and a new crank nut with a shaft on the end to take the rotor. Stator and rotor are standard Bullet ones.
