Hi Guys,

On my speedo on my GT 535 the outside and more prominent reading is in KPH.
The inside is in MPH.
I thought this was normal as they are imported from India, however I have just seen a close up of the clocks of one for sale on ebay and the prominent reading on that one is in MPH on the outside.
Why would this be? any ideas guys?

At the Watsonian Squire bbq earlier this year I was talking to the rep from Royal Enfield and asked him why they didn't do a primarily MPH speedo for the UK and USA markets. He said go and look at that new Continental 535 over there; and it was indeed M.P.H. and smaller km/h.

I guess they started off with the KM/H ones to get going, and then once established in the UK now do MPH. atb Chris

Chris, that seems to be what's happened, I've looked at a few on ebay today now and there seems to be a mixture out there tbh.
There is also a difference in the "Royal Enfield" decal too.

Out of curiosity.... Which logo does yours have? I don't know the exact dates, but I'm guessing it would have the older logo, not the newer curly one?

Our 1992 Bullet has kh on the outer ring with mph on the inner, never bothered me in the slightest. Maybe the reason for my ambidexterity is that truck tachos are kh, and I regularly (until this years health issues bit me on the bum) ride/ drive in europe.

So that's clear. How are you finding the bike? Speed? Comfort? Handling? I've ridden a couple of demonstrators and liked the experience.

Next problem for me would be where to keep one!atb Chris
