RE's last few years as recorded by Lucas spares
I came into a bunch of Lucas illustrated parts lists, which detailed their parts used on the various RE models between 1963 and the final typewritten sheet of 1970
Click here for PDF versions of the lists so far added (scroll down page when it opens)
Lucas produced these sheets by manufacturer, and each was assigned a code such as CE 827 (ariel), CE 829 (Panther) With good old RE at CE 826. In the early 1950's, this could be confusing as to the current version, so in 1956, they appended a letter for the issue and thus the year in the form of a single letter with CE 826A, being the Enfield spares list for that year.

SPARES LIST No. CE 826F (1961)

Here is the 1963 list unfolded. Click on it for the PDF file, may take a while to load![/b]

A closer look at page 2, which shows the parts listed by model
The last year in this form was 1962 (CE 826G), after that, the letter was changed for the two number year with 1963 being CE 826/63. Sadly, the number of models that RE produced, were declining, and by 1968 the fold out illustrated brochure was reduced to a typewritten single sheet on headed paper, which stated,
"Equipment for 1968 is as shown in the 1967 list CE826/67 except for the following:-
248cc INTERNATIONAL GT
No longer produced
750 INTERCEPTOR 12 VOLT
and then it continues by listing the updated parts for the Interceptor as shown below.

CE 826/68
The last sheet in the CE 826 series, was of course 1970, when the company ceased production.

CE 826/70, another "Last of the line"
Here is hoping that some of you found this interesting! (and that the green background worked)
