Well, I can't decide. It's been months and I've flipped from model to model of new Enfield and still can't finally push the button. I need help. I have narrowed it down to either a battle green classic 500 or a forest green bullet efi (I like green, it's my favourite colour). John at P & D Motorcycles in Wakefield has been very patient as I've hopped from model to model, sat on them, videoed them, listened to them revving up, drank his coffee, gone away, read the brochures, come back and sat on them again. I even have the leather panniers sat in the garage waiting. What do you lot think? I think that as I get older I get more retro and go even further back in time in terms of styles I like, so I'm tending towards the classic, but then I'd have to add a pillion seat to take the (reluctant) wife out or the (incredibly keen) children. Oh I don't know, should I flip a coin?

I'd go for the Battle Green, much better looking. I'd be amazed if this esteemed emporium can't source a dual seat to fit it. Seems a faff, but the Battle is a more 'special' bike, and I think it will hold it's value better.

Classic 500 for me, if you fit a rack like Ammo my bike has you can bolt a saddle to it

I have to say, the classic is a fine looking bike. As far as I can tell, the classic is modelled on a 1951 design, while the Bullet efi is a 1955 ish one. I'm sure the real experts could be more precise. It seems that single seats gave way to double seats around the mid 1950's.

I have to admit, the classic looks more distinctive certainly. Not sure why there is such a price differential between a classic (about £4,600) and a bullet efi (£4,000) though.

Battle green wins hands down in standard trim, the forest green classic would look better with the tan coloured single seat that some of the dealers have been offering,Scaly's a bit obsessed with the army look bullets.............can't blame him they do look very very nice like that..............buy the non shiny one...............you know you want to.
