Not sure if I'm allowed to do this, but I am looking for some parts to complete my 1965 Turbo Twin..... our hosts don't appear to have what I'm looking for, so hopefully they won't be too offended by my request. Apologies in advance if I am in breach of any rules!
I have had a 1965 Turbo Twin Sports in boxes for the last 30 odd years, and am finally getting round to putting it back together.
The engine(s) appear complete, and I actually had one running for few moments at the back end of last year. It has decided not to start again, so I think the crank seals have given up the ghost - not really surprising as they are nearly 50 years old. The bits I am looking for are as follows:-
Headlight unit - I've got a BSA Bantam one, that looks similar, but it's not quite right.
Speedo
Rear mudguard (chrome) - these would seem to be as rare as hen's teeth - probably because of 17" wheel - there's tons of 19 inchers around, but these just look wrong!
Seat unit - again, I've seen similar items for around £180, but this seems an awful lot to pay for the wrong item.
Finally, I need an S25/6 carburettor - the one with the choke mounted on the top. - I've got an S25/3 that seems to work (almost), but would prefer an original item.
Oh, if I'm writing my fantasy Christmas List, how about an original Red and Chrome petrol tank - yeah right!
I have tried advertising on the REOC website and magazine, but so far, without much luck.
Any help in sourcing the above would be greatly appreciated.
