My 05 bullet has started losing a very small amount of oil from the head gasket around the pushrod tubes. No noticeable drop in compression or performance,so I'm reluctant to change the head gasket.I was wondering if silicone sealant would do the job. If so, I presume it would have to be a special high temperature type rather than ordinary bathroom/window silicone. Has anyone else had this problem?

Mine leaks from the push-rod tubes, I just wash it off every so often. I do not think you will make any difference with silicone sealer without taking the head off, but you could make a bit of a mess. For some strange reason all silicone sealants appear to have an unnatural resistance to heat, I use normal silicone sealant to seal the exhaust at the head.

Thanks John M, like they say, if it ain't broke don't try and mend it.. Interesting about the silicone.
