Hi everybody, can anyone tell me why I have to crank my bike over 3 or 4 times on the kickstart before it will start on the button ? you can crank it all day on the button but it wont have it ( good battery )but turn it over 3 or 4 times on kickstart and it will start on button straight away

Difficult one. The spark will be at it's weakest when the battery is under load from the starter motor, which is why it often fires when the button is released and full power is available to the spark. Perhaps there is also a lack of fuel getting through and the act of kicking it over a few times primes the cylinder with enough to get it to fire under the load of the starter. Does this happen when it's hot, cold or both?
