I am pretty shure the Model G was available in black only. You can have a look at my 1953 model if you read the thread "A picture of my Model G!". AfaIk the only difference between 1951 and 1953 is the tank. 1953 have all black tank with chromed badges, 1951 have black tank with painted logos and pinstriping. Not very fast and not very fashionable, but reliable, with good handling and reasonably comfortable to ride, even on long trips. 840 km in three days is my longest trip so far, no problem. I have had mine since 2001, and only been let down twice. Both times Lucas was to blame (the magneto failed), not Royal Enfield. .-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.-.- I just ordered 43 part numbers for it, including new fork legs, so now it's going to be much smoother on bumpy roads.
