Re sixty five hubs: Has anyone got recomendations or products for bringing my alloy hubs back to life, "they have turned into a pewter colour", i don't want to have em vapour blasted or sonic cleaned as the spokes have to be removed first for this work, so something which i can use which the wheels remain complete.

There not stained or anything they have just turned from bright allow into a dark pewter colour.

Cheers guys

as Peter said use Solvo. I use Solvo or Autoglym metal polish both are excellent and give a good finish I think you would be pleased with your hubs regards alan PS. a mug of tea and radio 2 helps with this sort of job

----------- or there's dry ice blasting. Note, in this video all the seals etc are left in situ as this is a non-destructive ie a passive cleaning method....and all you have to do is squeeze the trigger !! }------------ http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZrHchu1tNyc ---------------
