I agree, my 350 has those tyre sizes. However, it’s an Electra with no separate mudguard stays and the fixing screw heads project inwards from inside the top part of the fork sliders. A while back I bought a 3.25 knobbly trials tyre and there was no clearance. I had to fit a 3.00 instead.

If you are using it on the road, then I thoroughly recommend Avon road riders, 100 x 19 on the rear, and a 3.25 x 19 on the front. I have chucked my 500 around a lot on the Devon byways, and these pass muster nicely.
