It looked a lot better straight off the card, as I said previously, Youtube degraded it with their compression algorithms - don't know if they still do that?
I've changed laptops since I recorded that, and although I will have backed it up somewhere, I ain't sure where?

You've managed to capture that wonderful exhaust beat from your Bullet (I think it is a Bullet?). Without cutting into the waterproof case of this Apexcam I can't connect the external microphone or USB cable and those ports are right on the rear closure plate seal so a bit irritating... I may have to make my own case/holder but I'll do without sound until then.

The case on the M10 has an interchangeable back, with slots for a strap in it. these allow the sound in. I cut a hole in the side so that I could plug my powerbank in and sealed it with Sugru, just to keep any rain out.

Trouble is, you've got me looking for a better cam, the M10 doesn't have any image stabilisation.
I've been looking at an AKASO Brave 8 which is waterproof without a case, seems good according to reviews, but costs £200+, not as dear as a GoPro but not cheap. Might be cheaper next year when I [hopefully] get the Himmy?

I knew nothing about these cameras 5 days ago and it was only because I had a friend staying here and mentioned it to him that prompted me to try something. As the apex was ridiculously low cost I thought it worth a go. You've much more experience of them and I appreciate your advice.

Went out on the Meteor at around 9.30 this morning to try out the settings on the Apexcam as suggested by Boxerman (Frank). So it's now set at 1050 P x30 fps. The sun was really low in the sky and not really pleasant, but the camera coped far better than I did! The electronic stabilisation works very well and the image remains steady. Optical quality has really surprised me although I will only be watching these videos back on the 10 inch screen on my Tablet. I have just discovered too that I can play these back at reduced speed which is rather good!
This has encouraged me to modify the way I mount the camera to give an unobstructed view through the windscreen. After 4 hours work I have finally achieved a good resilient mount making it simple to remove the camera from the waterproof case when necessary. All I really need to do is sort out the microphone fitting - which means a smallish hole in the side of the case.
If I may borrow the phrase from the posting from 'Swiftjess', riding this Meteor is most definitely 'Through Leaves'.

Quick update... That mount position on the windscreen support was unsuccessful (as I am sure some of you realised 😊). Some vibration degraded sharpness and a lot of reflection. So back to the original handlebar mounting which gives sharp imaging and virtually no reflection. I'll live with the partial obstruction created by the windscreen mount and part of the speedometer showing as I really like the camera mounted on the bike, rather than on me.

Well things seem rather quiet here... Perhaps you are busy reading the complete workshop manual?? 🤓. It's been a bit perishin'cold out on those Lanes so I ve fitted Oxford muffs. Not attractive but numb hands demanded something needed to be done!
How are those heated grips doing, Neil. And has your Fireball arrived yet, Cammy?

Evening!

The heated grips are having a nice rest in their box......as it hasn't been above 3c here today, that's where they are staying as the garage is also 3c!

Not sure how to upload photos, can you upload directly or do you have to host them somewhere? I'm an engine engineer, not a computer engineer! AKA useless with computers.
