The vehicle form requesting deviation details has been sent back. To my mind, nothing much to frighten the horses.
2) Please list all of the changes that have been made to the vehicle/bike prior to its importation:
Full restoration, new paint, rechrome parts, saddles, engine/transmission rebuild, modern front brake drum. Renewed wiring, new tyres, suspension rebuild.

On another note: Was out there polishing my old XK8 today, and a Brit twin rumble was heard. I spun round to watch a Rickman Interceptor going by. A rare beast indeed. The only other one I knew was in Ashford in 1974, and he managed to be done for speeding down the newly opened Ashford Bypass at 96mph on the RD350 that is still in my garage now. One of the very earliest VASCAR nicks (Ashfords had a Police Driving School). Anyway, the Rickman Interceptor sounded well on song.

I just re-read my earlier post and to clarify what I wrote, when I said "Oh how I laughed" I wasn't referring to Essex Lad himself but to the idea of getting a Dating letter from the Indian Factory. They simply do not reply to any queries in any format, apparently even the DVLC/VOSA have had no luck. Also, no comprehensive information is in the public domain, even the Trade Guides (Glass's etc,) struggle with at best, partial data. The REOC has compiled some basic numbers but it is patchy. The best info is from the 80s onwards when the bikes started to be imported into Europe and this can be found in table form in the front of the Hitchcocks catalogue. Apologies for any misunderstanding! And I'm as interested to see this bike as anyone else! One of our local RE branch members recently bought a Desert Storm model very cheaply from a local unofficial importer and despite reservations (mostly poor communication,) it turned out fine. Well, it turns out, I haven't bought a Motorcycle after all. Because of it's putative extreme antiquity, Customs have classified it as: Commodity Code 970500090/Collections and collectors' pieces of zoological, botanical, mineralogical, anatomical, historical, archaeological, palaeontological, ethnographic or numismatic interest-Other. So there, my Bullet 350 has numismatic interest. For those following the saga, the SCI Mumbai docked at Felixstowe at 22-30 last night. The tail lift delivery truck is booked. I have discovered a similar bike for sale in UK with Chassis number/Engine number just before mine - it has an age related plate, so that is heartening news. My brother in Law is modifying my boat trailer to take a single bike. Video to follow of the whole mess!
