Walter reading your last post again, you say you have a fibre washer under the needle seat housing, that is what is causing you problem.

Does the carb flood when you turn on the petrol tap before you depress the tickler, or is it only when you use the tickler and does the pin come back up on it's spring or remain down?

Do you press and hold or press it up and down? Some say that the tickler should only be pressed once and not jiggled, personally I jiggle the Monobloc on my 1958 Meteor Minor! but does it really make any difference how you operate the tickler?

In reply to Caboose's post I have found by holding down the tickle until petrol just comes out if the carb float chamber
the bike will fire up quite easy. So my issue with the flooding carb seems to be sorted. Looking forward to spring and putting
