Wilf, i wonder if your coil is perhaps not as lively as it once was and perhaps a change to the german PVL may give more oomph on starting..
Also the copper cored HT lead if the existing one is that silicon one which degrades slowly until it fails...
Bit cheaper than Boyer electronic. Oh meant to say the other day check that rubber hose between carb and head for perishing/splits.
Air drawn in at closed throttle will cause problems with starting and tick over but ok at over quarter throttle..
Bullethead i thought about the Boyer as some kind of upgrade for when i have trouble with timing or bad starting through wear on the backplate etc But you know its worked faultlessly for the last five years with just usual clean up, lube and gap check, so i just can't justify it... I mean how much is a pair of advance springs or back plate.. Peanuts.
