Vince - the seat "front" on the C5 is a big rubber bush, parts (3 & 9) here http://www.hitchcocksmotorcycles.com/pa ... t_Assembly_ which fits onto a substantial frame bracket not shown on the equivalent frame diagram. I have gone so far as to remove that rubber bush and reduce the superfluous top corner off the bracket with hacksaw and file to use the traditional tongue at the nose of the seat. The tongue I fabricated fastens on to the two bolts where the bush was and is a hefty lump of steel, it does not move at all (but would if spring were still used, the rear brackets force the seat forwards). As far as I can tell only one seat fits with this rubber bush, that of the C5 solo seat, all the others use a tongue at the nose, some are bolted there and pivot, most are push-fit.
