Rattlebattle, agreed. From what I've been reading there is some natter re ABS and/or linked brakes, muddy water. I have no problem with ABS. On many cars with ABS it is possible to override the ABS by applying extreme pressure to the pedal, they don't generally publicise this but it's there in case of system failure. I'm used to cars applying balanced braking to front and rear from one pedal but then cars don't fall over; the last three cars haven't even had a rear hand brake lever but parking brakes on buttons. Bringing a bike to a swift stop should use both brakes, they might as well be linked on the front hand lever as there are few occasions where the front has to be applied on its own but... But then a bike does have a tendency to lift its tail under heavy braking and ABS would then release the front brake; this is where ABS /and/ linked brakes falls down.
