Hi Dick,

the photo is fine. I have to say that front mudguard DOES look better aligned than Kevin's, you can see the front beading of the mudguard pressing is concentric with the rim.

Are you SURE there's no wiggle room, Scaly? If you're not convinced, try removing the existing stays and slacken the centre mounting bolts a little to see if the guard will pivot back just slightly. I reckon that would be enough for it to even up nicely without running out of indentation room.

It also shows that there is a bit more clearance than needed for a 17" tyre, though I suspect it would not be enough for a 19" tyre. An 18" might fit if not too wide.

Sorry Scaly, you posted while I was typing and getting distracted! Something not quite right there, if it won't line up. A.

The odd thing is that the rest of the bike is perfect. I guess the guy could not get it right and this might have been the straw that was eaten of the camel's broken back.

I do find the mudguard alignment annoying, and will go and have another look, but it is queued behind finishing the "Golden arrows" (trafficators) which all almost done.

Fair enough, nice looking bike, but I will keep Kevin the way he is. Unless; of course; I do manage to find a way to sort that mudguard out! (Is that where you are supposed to use those semi-colons?).

Bugger, only I never really get to use that key on the keyboard, and wondered where I could put a couple of them.
